tired, sore and still a bit drunk - i pulled into my day job this morning feeling like all the stress + aftermath was SO worth it.
last night was the very first time ive ever displayed my photography in a showcase event. the best way i can describe this entire RAWartist experience is by comparing it to christmas. there's the list of things i need and want, a vision of how i hope it will be and when the day actually arrives - all the planning/worrying/hard work flies by in the blink of an eye (and not the way you planned at all). i want to thank EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU that came to the showcase. aside from it being insanely fun it was also one of the most frightening nights of my life. speaking to people who were genuinely interested in my photography - seriously, a blessing. i felt like the luckiest girl alive last night and my heart cant even express right now how much appreciation i have inside. whether you liked my work or walked away thinking "what the fuck?"........ as long as you left my space with curiosity and wonder - mission accomplished. THANK YOU! ♥
ps - its sorta ironic that i was there for photography yet didnt take a single picture last night. i was a busy bat and more in shock than anything else. as soon as i find some photos from the event i will post them here....and i also did an on-camera interview so depending on how embarrassing it is - i might post that here, too.
pss - ONLY 2 weeks left for the handmade brigade block party in santa ana. we'll be updating information on that as soon as we catch our breath from last night's event!
