ACEO love!

eeep - zombie sugar prints is FINALLY busting out with our ACEOs! an ACEO is an *art card, editions and originals* printed at 2.5" by 3.5" artist trading card size. the first set we've put up feature photographs from our time in venice, italy. i cant believe its already been a year since being there. at least i have these pictures to remind me of the beautiful time spent there. this set of ACEOs will definitely transport you as well. i was really inspired by all of the small shops featuring colorful puppets, dolls and mask. while others were craving the canals i had my face pressed up against every single shop window and feet planted in each cobblestone. in an effort to remember every detail i shot hundreds of pictures and am so excited to share them with YOU. ♥

we are excited to announce the grand opening of our photography print etsy shop ZOMBIE SUGAR PRINTS. not only will we offer prints but we'll be adding aceos, fashion accessories and greeting cards. keep checking back for more and more photography treats. ♥

we blame the pac-man

thank you to everyone who stopped by the long beach artwalk last saturday! you braved the cold, wind and dueling bands - BRAVO! it seemed to be a dead night but im thinking the fight had something to with the lack of traffic. so yayeee, an extra special zombie hug to those of you that *did* make it out + about.

behind the scenes, oh my! as prepared as we thought we were..... it never fails. we forgot the bags for our prints, didnt have our new hair clips + pendants ready in time and due to a computer malfunction couldnt finish our banner. on the bright side, soooo many of you showed lots of love for my photography prints and THAT alone swells my heart to crazy proportions. there are no words to show how much i appreciate the reaction and all around positivity from everyone who stopped by - including you mr. sir that wasn't a fan of my style yet, in the end, even you walked away with 2 prints! :) for those interested, we are currently working on online portfolio featuring just our photography (yes, including miss panic's). as soon as its up and running we will announce it here. in the meantime, just keep checking back here for updates or if you really cant wait you can just email and i will give you the link to my flickr account.

highlight? oh too many but for sure.... thank goodness i gave that rambling gypsy a dollar because all i gotta say is: "drag me to hell". a very special thank you to my adorable 8 year old nephew for passing out flyers + directing victims... er, i mean, customers to our booth!

and with that, march artwalk has come and gone.... april 10th should be crazy good thanks to warmer weather, touring race fans and more wine! see ya' next month. ♥

using my crazy skills to finish work on our banner. two years later and we've finally busted out with a booth sign. instead of shelling out the dinero for a vinyl one we busted out our puffy paints, white denim fabric, a sewing machine and our little own zombie hands.

dont forget, tomorrow we will be at the second saturday artwalk in downtown long beach. the second saturday artwalk is a monthly event in which a block located on linden/broadway is shut down for artists of all sorts to display and sell their art. this area is known as the arts district of long beach and all galleries in the area are open to the public. we will be at the show! our booth offers handmade jewelry and accessories, altered boxes, fine art photography, a huge selection of buttons/pins and MORE! we've got something for everyone.

we're just settling into this whole blogging/twittering thing so bear with us while we figure out things here + there. lots of stuff to come....sooooon!!! ♥

zombies at work

we've been working like oompa loompa's this week in the zombie sugar factory. we've got a show coming up saturday, march 13th from 4pm-10pm. zombie sugar will have a booth set up at the 2nd saturday artwalk in the arts district of downtown long beach. stop by, say HI and walk away with some yummy goodness!!! if you dont feel like hanging with us - at least come down to check out the amazing galleries that surround the event and get some free wine + bbq wienies! mmm mm! for directions and all that good stuff check out the official website HERE.

dont call it a comeback

the past few months have been super busy for the zombie sugar shop but we vowed 2010 we would come back with a vengence.... and we are. new items in our etsy shop with even more to come, an actual website, a twitter and brand new business cards! slowly but surely we're crawling out of our tombs and into your homes. dont forget to visit us at the 2nd saturday artwalk - saturday, march 13th. more information on that and MORE coming soooooon.
