saturday, july 10th from 11am to 5pm - zombie sugar and over 70 other vendors will be hanging out at the santa ana fiesta plaza in downtown santa ana. we'll be busting out brand new altered boxes, framed prints and FINALLY the introduction of the tranny pack. we will also have our usual sugary goodies - buttons, jewelry, hair clips,etc.... AND every person that purchases $10 or more from our booth will be entered to win a yummy zombie sugar prize pack. yup yup! AND if that wasnt tempting enough - the handmade brigade will be handing out FREE swag bags to the first 50 people that walk through the event. each bag contains a goodie from EVERY vendor at the event. trust us, YOU want to be there!!!

gratitude floats like a balloon

tired, sore and still a bit drunk - i pulled into my day job this morning feeling like all the stress + aftermath was SO worth it.

last night was the very first time ive ever displayed my photography in a showcase event. the best way i can describe this entire RAWartist experience is by comparing it to christmas. there's the list of things i need and want, a vision of how i hope it will be and when the day actually arrives - all the planning/worrying/hard work flies by in the blink of an eye (and not the way you planned at all). i want to thank EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU that came to the showcase. aside from it being insanely fun it was also one of the most frightening nights of my life. speaking to people who were genuinely interested in my photography - seriously, a blessing. i felt like the luckiest girl alive last night and my heart cant even express right now how much appreciation i have inside. whether you liked my work or walked away thinking "what the fuck?"........ as long as you left my space with curiosity and wonder - mission accomplished. THANK YOU! ♥

ps - its sorta ironic that i was there for photography yet didnt take a single picture last night. i was a busy bat and more in shock than anything else. as soon as i find some photos from the event i will post them here....and i also did an on-camera interview so depending on how embarrassing it is - i might post that here, too.

pss - ONLY 2 weeks left for the handmade brigade block party in santa ana. we'll be updating information on that as soon as we catch our breath from last night's event!

venus pops her gallery cherry!

artwalks, earthquakes and showcases.... OH MY!

this message was interrupted due to back to back earthquakes! now that the shaking and rolling is complete we will return to the regularly scheduled blog post.

saturday june, 12th we were at the long beach artwalk! again, it was a wonderful success and thanks to everyone that stopped by to say HI.  if you werent able to make it there - we've got two more MAJOR shows coming up as well as venus' showcase at the maya hotel in long beach.

it looks like this summer is going to be a crazy fun for the gals at zombie sugar. more details to come but for now, we are so happy and excited to announce that rawartist.org has asked venus to showcase some of her photography at their upcoming BOLD show. this is the first time venus will have all her work displayed at a show. aside from her photography there will also be artists, a fashion show, a short film viewing, live music and all of it will take place outside the beautiful maya hotel. if you're interested in attending, please send an email to zombievenus@gmail.com - this event is RSVP only. we will post more information later on this week.
